Hi Jonathan!

I've reworked this in v14 patch 14. Reset execution and state 
restoration are separate steps, and cxl_reset_execute() retains 
ownership of the snapshot and range context through cleanup. The 
cross-function cleanup handoffs and goto state machine are gone now.
